Steven McDonald Photography - Top Teesside Tog with a heart of gold!

As part of my ongoing series of blogs to highlight some of my favourite industry professionals, next up is Steven McDonald Photography.

I have worked with Steve on multiple weddings over the years now and can honestly say he is one of the best in the business and could not recommend him any higher.  I have a number of photographer friends and colleagues who i shall be featuring, but I felt I had to start with Steve as I have worked with him far more than anyone else and as such come to know him professionally and personally.

I have a fairly modern, chilled out, friendly way of working in order to get the best out of my couples at a wedding and I see this in Steve,  He has an ability to make couples feel at ease, never getting in their faces and always injecting humour into the situation making the entire day fly by.  As I work in very much the same manner, we get on so well and I have never not enjoyed a wedding when working with Steve (disclaimer, I don’t think i’ve actually not enjoyed a wedding as I love filming so much).

This man is a true professional, creative and all round top human being.  I always look forward to working with him every time as we work so well together and he makes me strive to be a better videographer when I see him work and the results in his images.

If you are looking at booking a photographer then I would strongly urge you to check out his work which can be seen on his website or via his social media pages.  Steve has a particular style which is abundantly apparent throughout his work.  He oozes professional photos which are bright, candid and ultra-sharp with his subjects captured in the best of positions, backdrops and emotive moments.

I don’t need to say too much about any of my photographer friends and colleagues as they have all been so kind to me, so nice to work with and are true professionals but I thought id begin my acknowledgment of the numerous photographers I know and love with Steve as, well, why not – just look at his work!

For more information on booking Steve, Jolly good wedding films or even both of us please get in touch and we’ll get back to your straight away.  I have many weddings coming up with Steve so watch this space for what he and I come up with (most now moved to next year due to the virus but I still have plenty for the latter part of this year)

Here’s a short behind the scenes of Steve at work captured at the incredible Danby Castle https://www.danbycastle.com/ and a short montage of footage we captured when on a Jolly good outing to the lake district. Oh and if you like classic footy tops, be sure to check out his instagram - classic footy tops! random but very very nostalgic and cool.

Be Jolly good to each other x
